Berry Cherry

My favorite fruit is very red.
Yes, you heard just what I said.

It grows and grows on a tree.
If you pick them they will be free.

It tastes very sweet,
Nothing like meat.

It is yummy
In my tummy

You can bake it, and it makes a yummy pie.
It is the favorite pie of a very fun guy.

Yes!  It's a cherry!
Not a berry.

What a pencil would say

Ahhhhh! Yawn. I guess it is time to get up to work. "Ow! Ow!" I say as the boy sharpens me. "Ready paper? Let's fight. "Sssssssss" I say as I write. "Ow! Ow!" Says the paper. I win! Yay! Time to go back to bed.

Children's Week

Last week was children's week, so we did something fun at school everyday. The first day was costume day. I was a pirate. The second day was a treasure hunt! The third day was crazy hair day. I had a orange Mohawk. On the fourth day I had a picnic. On the fifth day we had a HOLIDAY!

Giant Lilipads

This is a picture that I took in Rio at the Botanical Gardens.

The things up in the top of the picture are giant lilypads.  The Botanical Gardens have a lot of cool stuff at them like giant lilypads and monkeys.  There were monkeys living in the trees.  There was a lot of fountains.  We ate lunch there and got to ride on golf cart for a tour of the gardens.  We got to see canivore plants.  There was a lot of pretty flowers, and there was a tree where the leaves smelled like cinnamon when you tore the leaves.  We all had a lot of fun there!

Missoines

We went to some ruins of a church community with an ex-pat family here, and it was Hesus' birthday that day.  We got to climb on a bunch of rocks and see some broken spot where there was a stairway up to a bell but you could not climb up there.  There was an old ruined church and at 10:00 they were going to do church there.  This is a little thing made out of sticks and they made it like it was when the church was nice and all the houses were nice.  It was in a tiny area box-size and you could look through a special think, and I took this picture with my camer through that special thing.

Owen's Cookie Hand

While we were driving in the car, I gave Owen a bag of cookies.  As soon as he finished all of them he still had his hand in the bag and fell asleep.  When we got home, I said, "Mom look!"  Mom said, "What?"  Then I showed her Owen and said, "I gave Owen a bag of cookies and he fell asleep while he was eating it, so now he is sleeping with his hand in the bag of cookies!"  I think it is super duper duper duper cute and funny!  We all laughed.

Christmas Gingerbread Cookies

Making cookies was fun.  We had some help from friends, Emma and Sandi.  We made gingerbread cookies, but we didn't have a gingerbread man shape.  We had a bear, stockings, angel, tree and a cupid.  The cookies tasted yummy, but they didn't last long because they were sooo good!

We ALL loved, loved, loved the cookies, and it was really fun making them.  And it was different than making cookies at home because it was really hot making Christmas cookies.
